Indicator EN.GHG.CO2.MT.CE.AR5 from the World Bank's World Development Indicators for the world, most recent non-empty value: total CO2 emissions in megatonnes of CO2 equivalent. It is an annual statistic and the latest year available is often not the year we are in, so read the value as "the most recent year the World Bank has published", not as today. Licensed CC BY 4.0; unchanged except for scaling to a fixed number of decimals.
